The Memorial Day weekend service will be held in New Bethlehem on Saturday, May 26th at 10:30AM in Gumtown Park. In the event of rain the program will be held at the First Baptist Church at the corner of Broad and Liberty Streets.
Glenn Hammond, a retired Marine Corps Officer, will be the featured speaker. Musical selections will be performed by the Redbank Valley High School Stage Band, under the direction of Russell Reefer. The ceremony will also include a solemn tribute that will highlight the names of Redbank Valley area men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in American wars. Also, introduction of visiting governmental dignitaries from Clarion and Armstrong counties, and other program features. Ladies from the American Legion Auxiliary will also participate in paying tribute to those who sacrificed their lives in military service.
Jerry Silvis, Commander of the Walter W. Craig Post 354, extends an invitation to the public encouraging them to “give a little of your Memorial Day weekend time to remember those who gave all.”
